This is a review of the FW GUNDAM CONVERGE CORE: Big Zam & Core Booster. Unlike many CORE series releases that primarily focus on simple color variations, this set introduces newly sculpted parts, particularly the ankles, along with several added components, offering a refreshing update to the design.

Design and Detailing

Aside from the new ankle sculpt, most of the design remains the same as the normal version. As expected from Big Zam, the figure is significantly larger than typical releases, giving it a powerful and imposing presence. The color scheme is brighter compared to the standard version, and numerous additional markings have been applied, enhancing the overall detail.

Close-Up of Parts

The torso remains unchanged, but the added markings increase the figure’s sense of precision. The color of the Mega Particle Cannon has been changed from black to red. Like the normal version, the antennas and the black wings on each side are provided as runner parts, requiring assembly.

The head cover is removable, and the Monoeye can be adjusted for different looks.

New Ankle Sculpt

The legs feature newly sculpted ankles, with thicker claws than the normal version, adding to its aggressive appearance. The green and purple parts of the claws are also runner parts, which need to be assembled.

To depict Big Zam in its floating mode, the ankles and green claw parts need to be replaced with specific parts. The purple claws, however, are shared with the normal version.

The purple claws can also be launched as anti-air missiles. This version comes with a brand-new effect stand specifically designed to display the missile launch.

Dozle Zabi's Rage Effect

A new addition is the Dozle Zabi's Rage Effect, which can be displayed beside Big Zam using a dedicated support stand.

TV Version, which has a more organic, lifelike appearance.

Core Booster

The Core Booster shares the same sculpt as the normal version, but the color has been updated to a light blue shade reminiscent of the anime’s ROBOT Spirits A.N.I.M.E. version. Additional markings, apart from the numbering, have also been added.
