The following is a review of Metal Robot Spirit [SIDE MS] RX-121-1 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom] & Optional Parts Set, an action figure die-cast Metal Robot Damashii released by Bandai based on the original model of the RX-121-1 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom] from Advance of Zeta: The Flag of Titans.
Metal Robot Damashii [SIDE MS] RX-121-1 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom] & Optional Parts Set Review
The proportions are almost as set. There are many white parts, but since it is a Metal RoDa, the texture is good with all painting.
Head Unit
The area around the forehead is a little unique, but the others are orthodox Gundam faces. The large antenna is also sharply modeled. The eyes are painted metallic. It is not so noticeable to the naked eye, but the paint is a little rough, such as lumps under the left eye and bleeding in places.
Body Unit
The torso looks a bit massive with armor on the chest and in the center. The crotch also protrudes forward, creating a unique silhouette.
Arms and Legs Unit
The limbs are relatively slender. A large thruster unit is attached to the knee, and it looks like it has high mobility. Rabbit mark is printed on the left shoulder.
Movable booster pod is movable back and forth. The markings on the rear armor are also reproduced exactly. Movable is a little swing width for both neck and waist, which is not so good compared to recent ver. ANIME. Shoulders can be raised high.
The elbows and knees were bent deeply, the hip joints were widely movable back and forth and sideways, and the ground contact was good.
Weaponry and Option set
Metal RoDa Hazel Custom come with a set of stands. This Hazel Custom can reproduce 3 forms as an option. Beam rifle fore flip is movable. shield is also accurately reproduced such as marking. Holding was a choice of joints and grips. Shield booster can be attached to the booster pod on the back using a joint. it can also be equipped on the arm using another joint.
There was no grip here, only the joint. E-pack holder can be attached to the side armor. The shoulder grenade launcher and folding grip can be replaced and deployed. It is necessary to remove the head once when replacing.
Normally, the folding grips folded to the left and right of the neck are stored, but due to individual mistakes, one of them was not attached. Then equipped with a sub arm unit. This is equipped with a sub-arm unit in the front part of the waist.
The sub arm can be deployed as it is. It is also possible to have a beam saber on the claw at the tip. Next is high mobility specifications. This is equipped with a total of 3 shield boosters on both arms and back.
It was also possible to put everything in the original mode. With the original GM Quell. The scale was different from ver. ANIME, and this one was considerably larger.
Movability and Articulation
As mentioned above, the movement was generally good, and the hardness of the joints was just right. The stand is a method of attaching a joint to the crotch. Most of the movement is good, but the neck area is a little cramped, and I was not particularly good at moving upwards.
Replaced with sub-arm form. The holding power of the sub arm was also high and there was no problem in maintaining the angle. Replaced with high mobility specifications. From the back. Since the shield is large, it looks rugged, but it does not affect the movement so much.
The impression that this form is the most common Hazel silhouette. The folding grip gimmick can also be reproduced by replacing it. Since the waist turns about 45 degrees, there is no problem with the slashing pose. Grenade launcher deployment on the shoulder. The original all-in-one form.
Summary
This is the review of METAL ROBOT Spirit Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom] & Optional Parts Set. It's a mystery whether it happened to coincide with the timing when GM Quell was released in ver. ANIME, but Hazel, who has the impression of being blessed with three-dimensionality with plastic models and toys, is also released in the Metal RoDa.
Although, some worried about the individual differences and the roughness of the paint, the proportions are almost the same as the original image, and because it is a Metal RoDa, the texture is good, the movement and gimmick are solid.
