FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam

FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam (FA-78-1 フルアーマーガンダム) is a variant of the RX-78-2 Gundam and is featured in the original design series Mobile Suit Discovery. Full Armor Gundam was one of the mobile suits developed under the "FSWS (Full-Armor System and Weapon System) Plan" initiated by the Earth Federation Forces in the late stages of the One Year War. This plan was based on feedback from the various data collected by the RX-78-2 Gundam, and served to enhanced the Gundam's capabilities through the equipping of additional armor and weaponry.

From "Mobile Suit Gundam" MSD, Full Armor Gundam, which is said to have been developed by the Earth Federation Forces' FSWS, is now available as an HG kit. 

Reproduce the increased armor of each part over the whole body with new modeling. The chest duct, abdominal armor, leg sub-thrusters, and other details are reproduced in detail. The coloring of the MSD version of the aircraft is expressed in molding colors, including the RX-78 that is the base body. It is possible to attach and detach armor parts and a small shield on the left arm while keeping the body RX-78 as it is. In addition, a special water transfer type decal that includes line marks on the shoulders and waist with the image of MSD, federal marks, number marks, etc. is included.

The shape and gimmicks of various weapons such as the cannon (360mm rocket gun), twin beam gun, and missile bay are reproduced with new modeling. The cannon on the right back can move up and down. The left sensor unit is also precisely reproduced. The twin beam gun attached to the right arm is precisely reproduced down to the gun barrel. The missile bays on both shoulders and knees of the chest are equipped with hatch opening and closing gimmicks. The shape of the internal missile is also finely reproduced.
