P-Bandai Gunpla HGTWFM 1/144 XVX-016 Gundam Aerial [ Permet Score 6 ] Review
Introducing the newly released Gundam Aerial Permet Score Six from the HG Witch from Mercury Witch series! This premium Bandai product is priced at 2,200 yen and available for order on Premium Bandai. Unlike previous p-Bandai items, both the package and the instruction manual are in color.
The accessories included are a beam rifle, escutcheon, chest shell unit with clear parts and seals, beam rifle attachment joint, beam rifle effects, 2 saber blades, and a display base molded in clear blue. Notably, there are no surplus parts.
The set also comes with seals that complement the color coding of some shell units and escutcheons for each part, along with marking stickers. The marking stickers are quite luxurious, featuring detailed cautions and a large printed logo.
The chest shell unit features in-mold parts, and the runner of the shell unit is a clear part with a shiny finish. The seals are double-sided printed type, and this time there are no non-luminous stickers; instead, there are shell unit stickers with two patterns of different brightness.
Color Details
This kit faithfully reproduces the appearance of Aerial reaching Parmet Score Six during a team match with Grassley Dormitory. Besides accurately representing Permet Score Six and its shining blue shell unit, the molding color has been altered as well.
The kit itself is a modification of the normal version, with no changes to the design. Consequently, poly caps are not utilized, and all joints are made of KPS (hard plastic). Regarding the molding color, the clear parts have a glittery effect, while the exterior blue, yellow, and frame colors have been changed to metallic shades.
The color scheme remains unchanged, and there is no sticker on the fins of the heel, so painting is not necessary for this particular part.
Head Unit
The shape of the kit remains unchanged, but there have been noticeable changes to the clear parts on the forehead. They are now glittery and more transparent, creating a bright and luminous effect. However, the molding color for parts other than the clear sections is slightly darker.
Regarding the stickers, you mentioned that one was applied around the twin eyes. In contrast to the clear parts on the forehead, these clear parts on the twin eyes are now metallic.
With these enhancements, the kit takes on a new and eye-catching appearance, adding to its visual appeal during play and display.
Body Unit
The blue and yellow colors have a pearly metallic appearance with a fine finish. There are some noticeable weld lines, but they don't bother me much. The only issue is the color change around the backpack.
This time, there are two types of stickers for the shell unit, and I chose the flashier one. When comparing the shell unit parts with the lame-containing clear parts and stickers, the in-mold parts have the same impression as the conventional in-mold, and the lines are clear. However, unlike other parts, the in-mold parts lack glitter. Therefore, I opted to use clear parts and stickers with glitter this time. The shoulder shell unit is not a clear part; it's just a sticker, but the color has changed to blue.
Arms Unit
With the frame now being a darker metallic gray, the color doesn't match the palm parts.
Leg Unit
The white and red molding colors being slightly darker gives a relatively calm impression. There is a part on the sole of the foot that looks like a detail, but it's not particularly bothersome.
Comparison with normal Gundam Aerial
After all, the color of the shell unit has changed, and it has become shinier. Since the movable range, etc. have not changed, please refer to the review of the normal version. There is nothing added to the main body, but new base parts are included: clear blue with the logo.
This base is designed so that Action Base 6 and the pillars of the Good Smile Simple Stand can be inserted into it. There is no particular change in the armaments, and a beam rifle and escutcheon are included.
The molding color of the beam rifle has been changed to metallic gray, the same as the frame color. The beam blade effect that attaches to the rifle is still included, but the color has been changed to a bright fluorescent green, giving it more presence.
The escutcheon only changes the molding color. The color of some bits is missing, but the sticker is still included. The beam saber has also changed color to fluorescent green. It looks quite bright because it is a fluorescent color, which is great.
The included base has a total of 6 3mm holes on both ends, so you can use the posts of the weapon display base. However, since there are only 6 holes, it is not possible to float all the bits.
The shell unit is a clear part with lamination, and the sticker is bright and conspicuous. The white and red molding colors are slightly darker, giving the shell unit a sharper presence. It's a process that gives the impression that the light is well-lit.
Of course, it was also possible to replace it with a bit on form. It is a kit that is easy to move without any particular problem in terms of holding power. Of course, it's also fun to combine with Michaelis and Begilpende.
I think it's difficult to change the color of the in-mold parts and the aerial light-emitting lines, so I'm happy to see such a variety of colors.
Summary
The main body will be a color variation of the previously released HG Aerial, but the color of the in-mold parts and decals has been renewed. The shining blue shell unit is now reproduced with clear parts containing a lamination effect.
The color of the clear parts has become lighter, and the stickers have become more vibrant, while the white and red colors have become more subdued. This change emphasizes the brilliance of the shell unit and creates a fantastic atmosphere.
